Alfred Nobel’s birthday

Alfred Nobel (21.10.1833 – 10.12.1896) was a Swedish chemist, engineer, the inventor of dynamite, and the founder of a charity foundation and the Nobel Prize for scholarly and social achievements. Nobelium, a synthetic chemical element, and the Nobel Institute of Physical Chemistry in Stockholm were named in his honour.
