Anniversary of First Electric Traffic Signal System

On that day in the city of Cleveland (US) the first predecessor of modern light signal appeared. It had red and green lights and produced a sound signal when switching the lights. Three-color traffic lights which are similar to modern ones were first seen by the residents of Detroit and New York in 1920. In the course of time, the devices have become popular in different cities of America and Europe.
