International Children’s Day

The UN General Assembly proposed International Children’s Day as a way of strengthening international co-operation. The Declaration of Children’s Rights was adopted on that day in 1959 and the Convention of Child’s Rights was signed in 1989. On this day, civil and commercial organisations hold charity events in many countries supporting children in need.
