Lebanon’s Independence Day

Lebanon, a country in the Middle East, celebrates its Independence Day on 23 November. This holiday marks the liberation of the country from the French mandate of over 23 years. On 23 November 1943 the French were forced to reinstate the legitimate government of the country. Currently, Lebanon is a parliamentary republic.
