According to legend, Romulus founded Rome on the ninth day of the month Pharmuthi (21 April) 753 B.C. Rome is one of the cradles of modern European civilisation. The symbolic opening of the city’s gates marks the celebrations to allow city residents and tourists from all over the world to enter Rome.
