World Contraception Day was established on 26 September 2007 by organisations involved in reproductive health and family planning. World Contraception Day is a long-term campaign aimed at all women and men of reproductive ages. Its goal is to reduce the number of unplanned pregnancies and its main motto is Contraception: It’s Your Life, It’s Your Responsibility.
