World Oceans Day

June 2020

Over 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by the World Ocean. It is an integral part of sustainable development. The role of the World Ocean is hard to overestimate in climate regulation. Its waters are the main absorbent of CO2. The World Ocean is divided into four big oceans: the Atlantic, Indian, Pacific and Arctic Oceans. The World Ocean is a major object of research, conducted primarily in oceanology. Scientists uncover new forms of marine flora and fauna to resolve the oceans’ mysteries. This research has a great impact on the wellbeing of man.
