Eco-Energy to Replace Old Power

Eco-Energy to Replace Old PowerIn the coming year, India will build the world's largest solid-state power plant. Such objects are considered one of the most environmentally friendly energy sources. The principle of operation is not different from traditional hydroelectric power plants, but instead of water solid-state power plants use weights. With the help of elevators, heavy blocks go up at the time of the day when the consumption is minimal and come down to start the generators when the consumption level is at the maximum. Unlike hydroelectric plants, these do not need water reservoirs, elevation differences, stable climatic conditions, and seismic stability. And there is practically no harm to the environment and local ecosystems.

A similar plant in Switzerland is considered to be the most successful example in terms of the price-quality-production ratio. In 2019, a tower with six cranes will begin operation in India. It is guaranteed to run for 40 years. The cost of electricity will be cheaper, and the expected power is seven times more than that of her Swiss counterpart. But, perhaps, the main advantage is the power storage capacity in terms of a profitable business: accumulating cheap energy makes it possible to sell it during rush hours at the maximum price. This way the plant will not only level out energy supply, but also bring profit to its owners.
