We have lost a friend

Sergei Pozdnyakov, Ph.D. Biology, who cooperated with the Planetary Development Institute as an expert and consultant, passed away on 12 January 2017

Biologist, environmental scientist and activist, who knew Karelian taiga better than anyone else, Sergei Pozdniakov was also a philosopher who planned to review current concepts of science and systematize the metaphysics from the Upanishads to Hegel and from Aristotle to Marx. He succumbed to an illness that had developed after a fall in a mountainous region near Bansko in Bulgaria. Sergei never feared high peaks or unchartered territory. He was a good friend, inquisitive scholar and honest person. We are proud to have been his friends and sad that we cannot work together any longer!
